Synbranchus marmoratus is the proper name for zangee. It's actual a fish although it is called a swamped-eel by many.

In T&T we call it a "Piper-Clark." This refers to the idea of the more well-off people probably wearing the more expensive, Clark's brand of shoes, while the poor man (Piper) is only able to afford, as his best, a lowly slipper, the "Piper-Clark's."

Bianda is so good , today y made Guineos verdes hervidos , yautia y chayote then I prepare a "Serenata" a puertorican way of preparing "bacalao" codfish and oh boy was so good.. I prepare the serenata like this; ripe tomatoes in chunk, thins slices of onion, sliced boiled eggs and avocado finally I prepared my own mojito for this and I crushed garlic in the mortar with cilantro and olive oil
