Im actually from the US, but it wasnt a choice. Thanks everyone here for an amazing back and forth, intelligent argument. I admire the amount of respect everyone showed to each other, even while disagreeing. One of the things I love about living in Florida is being exposed on a daily basis to so many Caribbean peoples. I was told many many years ago, a white guy doesn't try to be clever by using "bloodclaat" around islanders unless they are men you know well and you use it in the right tone and intention. Maybe I'm over reacting but I was also told calling a guy "blood seed" and you just bought yourself trouble.

My home was Sparia, Trinidad; my Mother was a Trini and my dad a Venezuelan 🇻🇪 My other told us about the Warahoons coming to Trinidad and bringing with them a holy woman who healed people and is she who became the Saint La Divina Pastora.
